For instance, when faced with a stressful deadline, a woman might ruminate on the task, getting stuck in a loop of negative self-talk and feeling overwhelmed. Activities such as yoga, massage, journaling, and talking to a friend can reduce stress and provide clarity and control.

Meditate: Since immemorial, meditation has been used to calm the mind and balance emotions. It is one of the finest ways to de-stress. It not only cleanses the mind of negative and stressful thoughts but also helps you to focus on the present moment. Regular meditation can also reduce cortisol levels, which is the hormone responsible for stress. For example, a 10-minute meditation session each day will rejuvenate your senses.

Eat Well: Avoid binging on unhealthy snacks and instead have a balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. This will help to balance levels of serotonin, which is a neurotransmitter that regulates mood. 

Sleep well: Getting enough quality sleep is essential for managing stress. A well-rested body and mind can better deal with the day’s demands. A good night’s sleep regulates your emotions and helps you respond to stress more healthier.

Never procrastinate: Procrastination can lead to anxiety and stress because we are constantly worrying about the task we are putting off. Taking the time to plan out the tasks ahead of time, breaking them into smaller steps, and tackling them before they become overwhelming can help to reduce stress levels.  

Help others: Volunteering is an excellent way to relieve stress. By focusing on others, women can forget their own worries and find purpose in life. Furthermore, helping others can help build a sense of self-worth and make them feel more connected to their community.
